The regular meeting of The Mozarkite Society of Lincoln, Inc was held Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the First Christian Church, 200 S Limit, Sedalia MO 65301.

Our President, Larry Twenter called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. There were eight members and three guest present..

Jackie Logan read the minutes for March and they were approved as read.

Joyce Grinstead reported a balance on hand, as of April 28, 2008 of 1,492.56. The Treasurer's report was approved as read.

Old Business:

Jean Eckstein obtain the information needed for setting up the scholarship. In the interest of time she put together a first draft and turned it into the school in time for applicants to apply before our April meeting.

New Business:

The Scholarship was reviewed and only miner changes were made. Jean Ecksein read the two scholarship applications submitted. A vote was taken, it was determined that Ashley Mertz will be presented with the Scholarship at graduation on Friday, May 16th 2008. Linville Harms will be presenting the Scholarship in the amount of $200.00.

Joyce Grinsted will design and print the certificate to be presented.

Robin Kinber brought some samples and gave an informative talk on barite.

Jean and Colleen shared their adventures at the KC Rock & Mineral Show with us. They brought back all sort of trinkets to show us .

A motion was made, passed and carried to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
