The regular meeting of The Mozarkite Society of Lincoln, Inc was held Tuesday, July 29th , 2008 at the First Christian Church, 200 S Limit, Sedalia MO 65301.

Our President, Larry Twenter called the meeting to order at 7:07 pm. There were twelve members and three guest present..

Jackie Logan read the minutes for June and they were approved as read.

Joyce Grinstead reported a balance on hand, as of July 28, 2008 of 1,558.34. The Treasurer's report was approved as read.

Old Business:

• 13 buckets of mozarkite were added to the club's inventory. The Club agreed to purchase 10 of the metal buckets at $1.00 each for club use. We need to return three of the buckets.
• The Grinsteads mailed 150 flyers for the GEM, MINERAL & JEWELRY SHOW and handed out more to club members to post ten to fifteen days before our event.
• Doug McCain donated twenty copies of his book "Mozarkite Gemstone of the Missouri Ozarks" to be sold to raise club funds.

New Business:

• Robin Kimber will check on availability of the speaker system for Sept 19th,20th and 21st .
• Joyce Grinstead will check prices differences in advertising in all seven counties as apposed to the three we did last year.
• Lynville Harms will talk to Tyson about donations for the pot luck supper.
• Larry Twenter will talk to DNR about setting up a display at the show this year.
• Robin will make a new sign to post near Cole Camp, MO to advertise the Mozarkite Society of Lincoln, MO. 49th annual GEM, MINERAL & JEWELRY SHOW .
• Lynville Harms will make a map of the booth spaces and location of venders.

A motion was made, passed and carried to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 7:42 p.m.
