The regular meeting of The Mozarkite Society of Lincoln, Inc was held Tuesday, June 24th , 2008 at the First Christian Church, 200 S Limit, Sedalia MO 65301.

Our President, Larry Twenter called the meeting to order at 7:07 pm. There were eleven members and three guest present..

Jackie Logan read the minutes for May and they were approved as read.

Joyce Grinstead reported a balance on hand, as of June 23, 2008 of 1,617.56 The Treasurer's report was approved as read.

Old Business:

A motion was made to have all the proceeds for the silent auctions at the September Swap this year to go towards the scholarship fund. It was seconded and passed. Debra Kimber will create a sign to be posted at the September Rock Swap.

New Business:

Colleen Johnson made a motion to have a board meeting every 4 months, It was seconded, then passed. Our President Larry Twenter called a Board meeting to be held right before our regular scheduled meeting on Tuesday July 29th , at 6pm.

A dig at the Harm's mine is scheduled for Sunday, June 29th.. We will meet at the Cole Camp Junction Parking lot at 8am.

It was brought to our attention, by a guest at our meeting, that we - Mozarkite enthusiasts are hard to find. We are looking for ways to guide the public to us. Please bring your suggestions to the meetings so we can get them working for us.

A motion was made, passed and carried to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 7:42 p.m.
