The regular meeting of The Mozarkite Society of Lincoln, Inc was held Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the First Christian Church, 200 S Limit, Sedalia MO 65301.

Our President, Larry Twenter called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. There were nine members and three guest present..

Jackie Logan read the minutes for April and they were approved as read.

Joyce Grinstead reported a balance on hand, as of May 26, 2008 of 1,492.56. The Treasurer's report was approved as read.

Old Business:

At graduation on Friday, May 16th 2008 after giving a brief editorial on Mozarkite Linville Harms presented Ashley Mertz with the Scholarship in the amount of $200.00. She ranked 4th in her class of 39.

New Business:

Linville Harms made a motion to give a Lincoln High School student first consideration for the scholarship. (Subject to funds availability.) Larry Grinstead seconded the motion, it was passed and carried.

During the September Show and other meetings silent auctions will be designated for the proceeds to go toward the scholarship fund.

Colleen Johnson made a motion for the club put together a float for the Lincoln Christmas parade. Dec. 2, 2008 Linville Harms Seconded it. It passed.

Jean Eckstein , Robin Kimber, Colleen Johnson and Debra Kimber volunteered to be on the float committee.

Jean Eckstein made a motion to gather together at 6pm before our regularly scheduled meetings for a beading and wire wrapping secession. Debra Kimber seconded it. It was passed and carried.

A motion was made, passed and carried to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 8:09 p.m.
